The Trainer

Hi, I’m Kino! With over a decade of experience in strength training, I aim to take a holistic approach to program design that tailors to each person’s unique needs and preferences.

After spending over half my life struggling with trauma and addiction, exercise was an unexpected saving grace. It taught me how to love myself by taking care of my body along with mind. Feeling better physically lessened the need to escape myself and the positive feedback loop was infectious in every other area of my life. Being in better relationship with my body even helped me realize I was trans.

I believe in the profound benefits of working out once you are able to tap into movement that feels good for your body. Regardless of who you are or what you look like, everyone belongs in fitness. I aim to provide a safe, trauma-informed, and consent-first training environment free of judgements or expectations. I’m here to help you figure out what feels good for you.

Let's prioritize adaptable and embodied movement for all!

When not at the gym, you can find me climbing, hiking, camping, crafting, trying new foods and recipes, or hanging out with my cats Frankie and Mako (if you train with me in person, they’ll probably want to say hi from afar).
